CAT6
Several new changes have come about regarding cabling standards
and wireless advances. In an industry where change is the only constant,
new options are always available for upgrading or enhancing your
communications network. Many options are available to make your
network more user-friendly. CAT6 standards have been ratified, making
this product a reliable upgrade from your CAT3, CAT5, or CAT5E network.
If you are considering a Gigabit speed network or the implementation
of Voice Over IP (VOIP) phone system, CAT6 may be just what you
need.
FIBER
Maybe that extra line you need is just beyond the capability of
copper. Maybe you need faster data transfer on your backbone or
there is interference reducing performance. Fiber optic cable is
well known for reliability and speed of transmission for data and
voice applications and may be the solution to improving your LAN
for indoor or outdoor applications, and more recently for fiber-to-the-desk
high speed network access.
WIRELESS
Wireless communication can broaden your company's infrastructure
to include neighbouring buildings and locations, or to reach out
over a distance not feasible with copper or fiber optic cabling.
More and more companies are also considering wireless internal LANs
as means of communicating securely and reliably.
Ideal for internet access, a wireless infrastructure can allow
you secure access from your PC or laptop throughout the range of
your wireless network. PMV Enterprises Ltd. has installed a number
of communications towers throughout Southern Ontario for the purposes
of implementing a wireless network, both for corporate usage and
internet access.
In order to offer support for wireless networking products, we
are now recognized as VARs for PROXIM wireless equipment and hold
training certifications as Broadband Associate, Broadband Engineer,
and WiFi Engineer.
While no one can lay claim to knowing all there is to know about
this technology, our technicians have gained valuable field-tested
knowledge as well as this training and are ready to help you find
your wireless solution. A wireless system analysis may be a good
way to determine if there are any security issues that need to be
addressed in your current wireless network.
MEDICAL
Our experience also extends into the medical field with the installation
and integration of the many different mediums available to provide
a mission critical system throughout hospital departments and medical
offices. An in-building wireless system is currently being used
for updating or accessing real-time patient records at the point
of care.
TESTING
In addition to the installation and maintenance of voice and data
networks, we provide independent testing for existing networks to
certify to current standards or to detect possible deficiencies.
This is available for copper, fiber optic, and wireless networks.
MAINTENANCE / UPGRADES
It may be that your network is working smoothly, but the management
of it has become a nightmare. Overtime, even the best maintained
systems can become entangled and confusing as additions, changes,
and moves occur. Our technicians can help remedy this problem in
a manner which will make your system maintenance and everyday usage
easier to handle.
